Yes Gray, What I Did For Love was sung by a woman in the show A Chorus Line. Keep working on the piano part. It really isn't that difficult. Is your version in the key of C? Or you can concentrate on the vocal and I'll come over and accompany you sometime! :)

My favourite song from "A Chorus Line" is "Nothing"--which I have on a CD by Lea Salonga---but I have never, ever heard it on the Radio.

Thanks for your replies everyone, talk about good timing, but Sarah Kennedy played a version with female vocals on her show this morning!

I really do like this song.

Maybe Sarah played Elaine Pages cover from her early 80s album 'Stage', where she covered some fantastic show tunes, including 'What I did for love'. Its sort of the thing Sarah would play

There are several clips from Parkinson's Music Special on Youtube. I haven't watched them all, but there are clips of several singers accessible from -
Michael Buble on Parkinson Music Special 2/5. These are Bette Midler, Sammy Davis Jnr, Mel Torme, Jack Jones, Tony Bennett, Harry Connick Jnr and Bing Crosby. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Hi Marian

In the live album "Live At The Sands", have you noticed that Jack sang "We mustn't worry about the colour of his hair or the length of his skin"?

It's really way past time for a new release from Jack, as "Tribute to Tony Bennett" is still being sold as a "new release," and it's around ten years old! :?
Hoping for something to celebrate his 50 years in Show Business which was actually last year, but being celebrated with this year's UK Tour.

I'm sure it's just a senior moment Mark, but Jack's daughter is Nicole, Kim is her mum.
There is also no actual Jackjones.org anymore, it just links to the endorsed website, which is run by Masaya from Japan.
