Carol Kidd

While listening to last Sunday's David Jacobs Collection, I heard a cute song, "I Like To Recognise The Tune" by Carol Kidd. Mr Jacobs said it was a Rodgers and Hart song. But I've never heard it before. And I've never heard of Carol Kidd. There are many recordings on the hmv website. Who is Carol Kidd? Is she still recording? She has an interesting sound.

Hello everyone!
I met Carol Kidd in Edinburgh when I was knocking about
with Humphrey lyttelton and his band.
Humph' loved her singing.
She has the Ella " little girl" quality about her.
A few years later she sang with Humph's band in
Barnes, London at the famous jazz pub "The Bull's Head".
She is a lovely singer.
Barry.
I am a fan of "real music".
Music performed by Matt Monro, Frank Sinatra and their piers. I once made an album with Humphrey Lyttelton. I play harmonica. The latest CD " Baz with the Jazz legends" is selling well. ( I sell it via my website)

I have her lovely song WHEN I DREAM on cd. She says she will never sing it live again as her guitarist has died.
