Hi Jar. Welcome to the forum from me too!

Good choice Marian! I reckon that would easily be the best introduction to Matt Monro. I suppose I could to that by suggesting also maybe 'The Ultimate Matt Monro' and 'Matt Monro The Collection' both of which have some fine examples of Matts recordings.

Anyway, whatever, pleased to see that you've discovered our Matt now Jar and I'm sure you'll enjoy listening to his recordings very much.

Best wishes to all,

Hello everyone, and a warm welcome to you jar. Hopefully you will join us on the MM forum more often in the future jar. So pleased you accidentally found our Matt, better late than never, as they say. We have people from all over the world on these pages, UK, US, Australia, Malaysia etc..so welcome to the MM forum from your country jar.

Mariana44 gave a very good choice for you to get to know the music of our Matt in her post. But can I add, that if you didn't wan't to buy the 4 Box Set to begin with, the best available CD compilation is the top selling the "Very Best of Matt Monro" which contain's 20 of Matts most well known song's.
"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On" :(

Hi Jar, welcome to the forum, all excellent suggestions of Matt's music from Marian, Lee, and Robert , and we are almost certain that after watching the incredible " Man With The Golden Voice" and after hearing more of Matt Monro's extraordinary voice, a complete concert with Matt performing many of these songs would be the icing on the cake.
"An evening with Matt Monro" made in Australia followed by" "Matt Monro A Portrait Of" and " Matt At The Movies" with extra rare footage are a joy to watch. check these gems out.
