I like both versions Marian and in fact the arrangements are very much the same, even down to the whistling bit. I believe it was a big hit for Gene.

Just out of interest—how many tunes do you have on your Ipod, Eman ?
Hi Mariana, I have the old school Ipod that has about 160GB so currently I have about 10,000 songs. It says it could hold 20,000 but I haven't had the time to download any more tunes LOL

Wow !! You are beating me by a lot--plus my ipods are smaller--a 20gb, and a 30 gb--plus a shuffle-about 8 gb. They sound a bit sad
compared to a 160 gb. My sister has an 80 gb-I did not think they came any bigger than that.

I have never owned an Ipod so know very little about them. Can you take songs off as well as add them? :?

Mariana, yes they do come with high GB's that was the highest at the time. It's about the size of my I-phone. I'm not all that into downloading stuff off of I-tunes as I like the physical product in my hand. What I do is rip my music from my cd's onto the Ipod. However I'm more of the standard I love vinyl records type!!

Marian - Yes you can add and delete songs. Check it out if you get a chance.

I am a big Gene Pitney fan, I saw him in the 60's then twice in the 2000's infact I had tickets to see him four days after his very sad death

Have you seen his concert from Foxwoods John? Absolutely brilliant, he included Robbie Williams "Angels" which I saw him do and it's the best version I've ever heard, as you mentioned Gene's whistle I normally can't stand whistles but Gene's was a rich melodic whistles, there are also two gret appearances by Gene on The Wheeltappers & Shunters Social Club dvd's also with a lot of great surprise guests as they are not all listed on the sleeve.

They can only be taken off via the computer--or you can leave them on the computer, and a "X" by the side, means they will not play, until no "X"---like Christmas songs for instance.

I have only downloaded from Itunes a couple of times-I do not find it easy to use--but Amazon is brilliant at downloading-especially if there is just one track on a cd that you want.

Yes, most of my music comes from my cds---and even better---all the old lps that I had and 45's , I can now listen to on my ipod--it is brilliant.

If anyone ever asked me about buying an ipod, i would say-go for it 100%. I use mine all the time--plus you can buy speaker docks, so that you are not always attached to your headphones.

I guess you could say that I am an ipod Addict.

Well put Mariana!! LOL..it's funny when I hear stuff on my Ipod from when I was 10 years old like "The Bump" by Kenny and "Sugar Baby Love" by the Rubettes    Yet I love those records as they remind me of an innocent time.

Just listened to Matt's Long and Winding Road album tonight, one of my old favourites. Haven't listened to this one for a while and really enjoyed it. :D :D

Oh dear-I have just lost another post, just posting at the same time as John--

What i was saying is that Ipods can be adapted for use in the car-my sister has a cassette player in her car, and she bought a cassette adapter from Amazon for a few pounds, and she can listen to her ipod while she travels to and from work, via the cars speakers. i think you can also buy adapters for cd players.

What's not to like--your own favourite music--you can play a particular artist, or a cd, or your favourites list---with no annoying chetter or distractions.

Bravo Mariana Bravo. I hate it when the commercials come on the radio and it's about something disgusting!! I'm no prude, but c'mon the radio is no place for that as young kids listen!! I know I'm gonna sound like a fogey, but I always tell my nieces and nephews, "In my day......"
