You are most welcome Mariana!

By the way, do you save the precious Youtube clips? Many of them have been removed due to copyright infringement.

I have several saved too. Quite a number of Matt, one of JJ, and now I've added these two of Johnny Mathis as well.

Hi Terence--it looks like a reissue of about 4 old albums---definatley nothing new--but a nice collection, with some good songs.

Yes, same old stuff (if with merit), but if they are already available on CD, why release them again?

Profit Jon!
There is also a new CD to be released January 7th - "Nat and Dean, Love Songs"
Probably all tracks already available on CD too. £6.99 to pre-order at Play.com and Amazon.

I can see Jon's point--I do not suppose that JM is the only singer with lots of material--old LPs---that are still not available on cd---so why do they keep reissuing the same old stuff??

But on saying that, JM has a new cd on the way---it has been put back to February--the first new songs for over 2 years.

Unusual Way

Post by Terence Lee » Fri Jan 04, 2008 2:16 pm

Hi Mariana

I hope Johnny Mathis will record Unusual Way for his new CD. I first heard this beautiful song in the Barbra Streisand live CD. Here are the meaningful lyrics :

In a very unusual way one time I needed you.
In a very unusual way you were my friend.
Maybe it lasted a day, maybe it lasted an hour.
But, somehow it will never end.

In a very unusual way I think I'm in love with you.
In a very unusual way I want to cry.
Something inside me goes weak,
Something inside me surrenders.
And you're the reason why,
You're the reason why

You don't know what you do to me,
You don't have a clue.
You can't tell what it's like to be me looking at you.
It scares me so, that I can hardly speak.

In a very unusual way, I owe what I am to you.
Though at times it appears I won't stay, I never go.
Special to me in my life,
Since the first day that I met you.
How could I ever forget you,
Once you had touched my soul?
In a very unusual way,
You've made me whole.

The song is tailor-made for his expressive voice!

No Terence--that song is not on the new cd--although I agree , it would be an ideal choice--here is a list of the tracks from the new cd--some songs I know and some I don't--latest news is a Febraury release.----It is to be called "A night to remember"-----

We’re In This Love Together (with Dave Koz)

All This Love

Always (with Mone’t)

Walk On By

Just The Two Of Us (with Kenny G)

Hey Girl

Where Is The Love

Always & Forever

How About Us

The Closer I Get To You

You Make Me Feel Brand New (with Yolanda Adams)

A Night To Remember (with Gladys Knight)

It is tentatively scheduled for a January release.

Johnny Mathis is in the top 40 on today's midweek album chart. I'm assuming it's the one Marian mentioned above, since it was released yesterday according to HMV. I hope it can stay in the top 40.

It's wonderful when these classic singers make the Top 40. I hope he climbs higher......to the Top 10 Johnny!
