Karl, OOOOOOOWEEEEEEE is good lp! I love it.
Been listening to stuff from the 70's again:
Kung Fu Fighting - Carl Douglas
Doctor's Orders - Carol Douglas
Rock Your Baby - George McCrae
Devil Gate Drive - Suzi Quatro
Dancing Queen/The Winner Takes It All - ABBA
Figaro - Brotherhood of Man

LOL..made me want to break out my platforms again for some odd reason, but I remembered wearing those kinds of shoes were probably the cause of my heel spurs and deformed feet...LOL

Yes, we watched it Marian. Two hours of superb viewing for a change. Brilliant orchestra, fantastic songs from those great musicals with the singers giving their all.
We thought Clare Teal was fantastic, with her specially good rendition of Secret Love, and Matthew Ford was excellent too.
To think that Two Saturdays ago with nothing better to watch I endured some of the XFactor. How will this rubbish ever compare with what we viewed tonight. :)

Been listening to the Tottenham Sound of the Dave Clark 5 today and a bit of Petula Clark. Also was listening to Glen Campbell's new farewell cd "Ghost on the Canvas" that I pick up for my Dad yesterday. Pretty emotional stuff. As you know he's retiring due to a bout with Parkinson's Disease. My Dad was pretty quiet while reading the liner notes as he's a big fan of Glen Campbell's also.

Yes we agree Marian and Lena and Harry- what a terrific show.

Clare Teal was very very good and our favourite Matthew Ford was super fantastic.

The Orchestra (spotted 4 members of the Syd Lawrence Orchestra) were top notch.

A superb 2 hours of television :D :D

It would be interesting to know what the viewing figures were.

I think the viewing figures would be pretty high Sandra and John, specially if they had watched the previous shows with John Wilson.
The line up of Singers were so professional and we particularly loved Matthew Fords rendition of " When I Look In Your Eyes".
Great finale too. :) :!:

We saw John Wilson on tv the other morning. He has painstakenly re-written all the old songs from the glory days of Hollywood that were buried by MGM and could have been lost for ever. It took him absolutely ages, but as we now see it was all well worthwhile. :D :D

Russell Davies had a small tribute to Mitzi Gaynor tonight on the day Mitzi celebrates her 80th birthday :D .................Russell also played Steve Lawrence's very good version of More :) ...........he did sound a little bit like Matt.
