Hi Eman---wherabouts did you visit in England-?--My sister never got to see David Cassidy live--but she also liked the Bay City Rollers too at one time. But she loves Westlife now---although they seem very quiet just now--she does not go to concerts and things because she is claustrophobic-but some friends once persuaded her to go to Wembley to see Westlfe, but she could not stay inside all the time. She only lives a few miles from Wembley and when anything is on there, she can see it all lit up, i believe it is visible for a long way.

I will check out "Honey Bee"-I cannot rememver the ones I liked of Blake Shelton as I played them on random so was not sure of the titles, but two I think were "Same old song" and "If I was your man ""

Hi again Eman---well, I just listened to Honeybee--really liked it--so just ordered the new cd with it on--saw one on Ebay for just over £6.00 which was cheaper than Amazon, even with pp added on.

I did not realise that Blake is a judge with Christine Aguilera on "The Voice"--we may not have this on our screen till next year, but I have read about it--sounds a different format--I like the sound of it.

Hey Mariana,
It's kinda like The X Factor where they mentor people. Yeah Christina Aguillera (or I like to call her Christina I Will Bare All, can you tell I really like her   ) was a judge along with Adam Levine from Maroon 5 and rapper Cee-Lo Green.

Speaking of The X Factor the American version premieres this month on Sept 20. Simon Cowell will be on it and another judge will be Paula Abdul but I don't know who the other two will be.

Just been listening to a lovely 2cd set of Don Cornell tonight, "I'll Be Seeing You". Just got it in the post today, I have been after this set for a good while, well worth the wait. :) :D

Eman-i thought Nicole Schertzinger [??] was to be a judge on American x factor--I wonder if we will get it over here, just a day or 2 behind--like American Idol ?? Yes, i did know Paula would be back-I liked her, but she was sometimes a bit scatty. Nicole was a good judge over her, but my favourite judge was Kara Diogardia [have i got her name right ??]

Our new series of "Strictly come dancing" starts this weekend--and usually the American version "Dancing with the stars" is on too--just a few days afterwards--our 2 judges Len Goodman and Bruno Toniol commute from Uk to USa every week. But as far as I can make out, noone else on this forum watches it--my sister and i love it, and think that the dancers are actually better than ours--both the celebrities and the Professionals--although we do not usually know all the celebrities --to start with, anyway.

I did not know they actually mentored the acts on "the voice"---i have not heard much of it recently.I only recognise Christina Aguliera--plus Blake now too.

Hi Mariana, it's good to be back on line. We had a massive power outage here in San Diego and all of the county was without power even all the way up to Arizona. Seems a line man from Arizona made some mistake causing the 12-18 hour power outage. So no work today but the power came back on at around 3 pm. No cell phone signals either..First thought was maybe it was another 9/11 threat, but thank God it wasn't. I received texts when a signal came in and one from where I worked saying only Essential Personnel to report to work. LOL.

Anyway this season on Dancing with the Stars is controversial because Cher's daughter now son Chas, the former Chastity is going to be a contestant. They are saying this is the worst season ever as the stars aren't really stars. LOL

I'm going to relish in a cup of coffee or tea, right now and get something to eat as last night was just eating whatever as our cookers here are powered by electricity and not gas. Plus I'm gonna put on some relaxing music, some classical Spanish guitar and just relax and enjoy my day!

Mariana, my Grandfather and Uncles live in Fulham.

i have been reading about Cher-well, I saw the headlines but did not bother to read--I am sure they cannot be running out of big names for that show-what is going on !! Do you have any idea when it will start.?

We have been hearing that there is a threat of a terrorist attack-maybe New York or Washington, but I pray that it does not happen-but I can imagine how you must have felt with the power gone-very viulnerable when nobody knows what is going on-that is a long time to be without power.

Eman--I know Fulham well--it is in West London , where I was born and lived for my first 28 years! Not far from Fulham actually-and sometimes my mum , my sister and I would go shopping down North End Road --what a small world !!! Mind you, I have not been there for many years, and I know that all the places I knew in West London have changed totally.

Enjoy what is left of your day .

Thanks Mariana! DWTS is supposed to start on the 20th. I don't know if I'll watch as I don't know any of these people. Some of them are from reality shows I've never heard of or wouldn't care to watch. Most of those shows are who can bed who or who the trampiest (is that a word?) girl is..and it's just down right degrading to me, especially to see a woman or a young girl take pride in being "loose". I was flipping around tv once and my nieces and nephews were watching something called "Jersey Shore" and one of the girls was in a store of some sort trying out certain "toys" if you will. I saw it took the remote and turned it off and said "Not in my house". Mind you I'm not a prude or anything, but there is a line I draw.

With the blackout that occured on Thursday, when the power went back on and I tested out all my stereo equipment and stuff to see if there was any damage. I put on some ABBA to lighten the mood. Then Saturday was listening to Tony Christie's "Made In Sheffield" and I'm listening to it in the office as I type. Next up "Bold as Brass" by Cliff!
