special days in October

Seeing that we are such a close knit family, I thought it would be nice if you let us know the dates in the year that are special to you.

Today would have been my mothers 104th Birthday, She passed away nearly Eight years ago this coming November.
She was everything to me and I miss her every day.
A sad day too when Two years ago we heard in the early hours of this day that the great Al Martino had passed away. :( :(

Yes Lena, you never stop missing them.

Unbelievable that Al Martino has been gone two years, I remember reading he was appearing in the UK and the next thing I heard he had died.

Thinking of you today Lena and Harry on your Mum's birthday, Lena. You never stop missing your mothers, do you? I think of mine every day as I know you do.
Hard to believe as well it will be 3 years on the 15th since my lovely Auntie Edith passed away too. I miss our little outings and chats, we had a lot of happy times. She was so looking forward to going to see Al Martino with us in the September of that year, in Buxton, and we were looking forward to taking her, but was too poorly to go. She would have loved it.
Thinking of Al today as well, I remember you ringing me early in the morning Lena, telling me the awful news as you didn't want me to hear in on the news or read it on the internet.

We remember the sadness that you experienced when your Aunt Edith passed away John, and although time passes very quickly, memories never leave you.

I think many of us have sad memories around this time of year--it was George's birthday on Tuesday 11th--after quite a trying week for me.
But things are a little brighter now, thankfully.

I like to remember the good times, like you all do out there.
