2 One Christmas--many many years ago-George bought me a gold wristwatch . It needs winding up every day, but I use it to this day, and I always will [unless it stops working ]

3. There are so many gifts received from family and friends over the years that may have cost very little but mean so much, and I can never bring myself to part with them, but the best Christmas present we ever received was our son who was born at home and arrived just a few days before the big day. :) :)

5. It's strange how we also remember the simple Christmas gifts like Robert has mentioned. Treasured gifts that stay in our memories.
There would sometimes be gold wrapped chocolate coins in our sock ....before sweet rationing arrived :)
Children today will have memories of tv games, mobile phones, computers.
