Lena and Harry

Would you believe that Shazia Wahab's employer was the same as mine! But she failed on all but one of the claims she brought and received nothing in damages despite making a claim for £1million. I agree that she should not have been fired by Sir Alan though; Jenny or Lucinda should have gone, but Shazia probably got the axe because she didn't defend herself strongly enough in the boardroom. C'est la vie.

Wow, that's interesting Jon, so she failed again then. We hadn't heard the outcome. :)

That is interesting to get some "inside" information---Shazia did not deserve to go-I think she was just stunned by being in the boardroom, and when Jenny called her a liar, she became dumbstruck--Jenny should have gone---much too bossy !!!

I don't watch 'Apprentice' as it clashes with 'Grand Designs' which I find much more relaxing. Thing is, we have a management meeting every week at work and my MD is always referring to it! Its a shame they don't condense the highlights into a podcast so I can keep up with it!

Harry and I both watched it. Both teams having to turn Two pub kitchens into an eating place, naturally to make profit, which turned out to be a disaster for the boys. It was difficult to say out of the boys who should have been fired, but it had to be the chosen one in charge of the mess who was Ian, so Ian had to do the walk of shame.
Head chef Kevin turned it into a comedy. He didn't have a clue about quantities of ingredients required, and the star moment came when the boys had to work out how many tomatoes would be needed.
The girls restained themselves from scratching each others eyes out after last weeks fiasco, and faired somewhat better,....but not a lot.

Many thanks for the update Lena and Harry. I did wake up in time to see Ian get fired, but missed most of the show.

It is getting to be more like a comedy show than a serious programme--re the tomatoes--if it takes 4 tomatoes to make a bowl of soup, how many tomatoes for 15 people ?? And their supermarket shopping--buying jars of pasta sauce and ready made pizzas---and I'm sure they said £270.00 on printing menus etc---the girls got theirs for nothing---not very posh--but what can you expect for nothing ??

Sorry boys---you were useless. We did not seem to see much of Rafe---I do not have a clue what he did.

As for the girls--Lucinda was being bullied again--not sure how long she will last.

I've just remembered to watch "American Idol" tonight!!! That's a first.

I actually saw "The Apprentice" last night too. What a shambles it all seemed.
I couldn't actually believe the team that won had made all that money. They seemed as deep in the mire to me as Simon's team.
So Simon's gone. I quite liked him, but he did get a chance to show off his management skills, and blew it."

Yes I was surprised that the girls won--I thought their idea of the Beckham lookalike was better than the glamour thing--but after the way that horrible Helene had a go at Lucinda, I was surprised that anything got printed---but obviously Lucinda got to grips with it---why are they always having a go at Lucinda--she had said she was no good at technology!!

Quite liked AI tonight--I think Jason may go tomorrow.

Now that Grand Designs new 'series' (if thats what you can call one new episode and one repeat  ) is over, I can start watching 'the Apprentice'.

I did wonder how the teams were going to cope with the 'production' of the gifts and stuff. I didn't like Simon to start off with, but think that he was a bit stitched up. And Claire is annoying isn't she! But Helen was just awful - quite a bully I thought. She wouldn't last long where I work as we have a 'Dignity at work' policy that she would have broken enough times in the space of a day to be sacked!

Thought all the others in the teams were a bit quiet but look forward to seeing Helen get he just desserts!

Well I have to say, there were Two highlights for me in last nights episode, and that was the facial expression of bitchy Jenny when Alan Sugar suddenly laid into Clare and she thought that Claire was about to leave, until alas it was just momentary.
The second highlight was when the overbearing Simon was fired.
He wasn't going to allow any of his team to even ask a question.
I admired their patience. :(

Well Lucinda stays in - I thought she seemed pretty good as she let her team play to their strengths. The only thing she did wrong was to mention what someone else said about Jenny in the Boardroom. Claire seems to have calmed down a lot. Jenny was her usual horrid self.
