Well, we missed Russell Davies tonight Robert, so i'll catch up tomorrow. We taped the Pathe news programme on BBC 4 while we watched Strictly, and then watched the Pathe prog. but listened to David's programme and Matt's song was the last one played. :)

I managed to catch the end of Matt on David Jacobs last night--in fact, I think I was asleep, then woke up. Lovely song.

Just listened to Howard Leaders Sunday afternoon programme on Radio Lincolnshire.

A big surprise to hear Michele being interviewed AND she can still find stuff to tell the listeners that we (or us anyway) didn't know. :D :D

Yes Sinitta is still around-not that she does much-apart from following Simon Cowell around, and dress in some very bizarre outfits !!!

Mariana, yep still sounds like the same old Sinitta. Oh please don't tell me she still wears leopard prints or some weird gastly sunglasses! Hmm maybe Lady Gaga took her fashion sense from Sinitta but took it more to the extreme!! EWWWWW is all I can say. Give me Sonia or Hazel Dean over Sinitta anyday!! LOL

Sinitta is on Celebrity Get Me Out of Here at the moment and because she is soooo nervous of everything that moves she is getting chosen to do the tasks each day. Thankfully they've chosen Pat Sharp today, so at least the camp should get some food. Anyone remember "Funhouse"?

Listening to the new Michael Jackson cd called "Immortal" it's the soundtrack for the Cirque De Soliel show in Las Vegas. Also the following:

Taylor Swift:World Tour Live
Rhianna - Talk Talk Talk
Daughtry - Break The Spell
Mary J. Blige - My Life II (The Journey Continues)

Yesterday was new release day so I bought these while they were on sale. I was really out and about to get the new Doctor Who Series 6 Complete DVD :D

Does anyone remember a quintessential 60's song called A Different Drum by The Stone Poneys?

I have been revisiting some old radio recordings I made yonks ago, and was struck by it's joyous quirkiness.

A link to the song is here if you are interested!

Gray yes. The Stone Poneys featured a young Linda Rondstadt. The song was written by Michael Nesmith of the Monkees. The song was released in 1967 I believe. Also at the time the "Hippie" community couldn't believe that the song was written by a Teeny Bopper Sell Out (meaning the Monkees). Great tune!!

Yes I know that song too Gray and I like Linda Ronstadt infact I am thinking of buying her 5cd album set, that series is great as it replicates the original album sleeves.

Currently listening to the new Cliff Richard cd Soulicious which is absolutely great. Oh and I also got my MM bookazine yesterday, I saw it whenever I walked into the store.

Your welcome Gray. Here's also a bit of trivia for you. If you are familiar with the Monkees they did a song called "Mary, Mary". Now that song was also recorded by a group called the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. They were considered really "heavy" in the hippie circle and so was their cover of the "Mary, Mary" song. Now when the hippies found out it was written by Michael Nesmith of the Monkees there was some uproar and disbelief until they read, well those who could read, the song writers credits. LOL In the 80's rap group RUN D.M.C. also covered it. :-)
