Edgar there are two episodes of Eastenders that particularly stay in my mind. Firstly going back about three or four years ago when it was Peggys wedding reception in the Vic, Portrait of My Love was played all the way through from the begining of the song right to the end, it sounded great in that setting.

The second occasion was not long afterwards, when Charlie was mentioned as being a Matt fan, when Peggy picked up a Matt album and said words to the effect of "oh isnt he lovely" while looking at Matts photograph on the album cover.

My tears will fall now that your gone :(

Hello all. Just to say that in Corry tonight, Jack mentioned Matt Monro by name. Wasn't really watching, so don't really know the reason why.

I noticed it too Robert. I think he was saying something about Matt being Vera's favourite singer.

The actual words were " Vera's got a day off today, she won't mither me, she's got a thing about Matt Monro". The lady obviously has impeccable musical taste!

Hello all. This is not about Corry this time, but did anyone see the evening new's on ITV. At one point during the anniversary of the London bombing's the band in the background were playing "Softly As I Leave You".

No I didn't hear that Robert, but it's a beautiful song, and I have heard it played by a brass band and it really does sound good played like that.
