Great news but again it's still not his RCA material good as the older recordings were the RCA catalogue had a more mature sounding JJ - of course I will be ordering this release. I keep checking regularly for releases, did it just show up today Marian?

Marian

Do you think it will be okay if I send Jack a private message at Facebook telling him how long I have waited for his RCA recordings to be released on CD?

Terence it's £5.46 on Amazon.

I think Jack would probably be pleased that a fan has taken the time to contact him, tell him I am also eager for his RCA material to be released on cd as they are fantastic recordings.

Thanks Karl for the encouragement.
I will do it now.
By the way, the label is Sepia so we can expect a fabulous booklet with lots of rare photos. They are a class act!

You are welcome to try Terence but Jack doesn't read his messages, only his wall.

I have since found out most of Sepia's releases are out of copyright so it's cheap for them to produce.

Hi Karl

It's true that Sepia releases material that's in the public domain. But they spend a lot of time and effort in remastering/restoration as well as producing informative booklets that will put those by legit companies to shame.

I know as I have some of their releases already, another company that release wonderful things are Fantastic Voyage - they compile greatl box set from the 50's & 60's often including the same song two or three times by different artists on each side of the Atlantic, they are quality products with informative booklets. 1961 is due out in January.

Just checked the tracklist for the forthcoming release (they are always in two parts) and there are several tracks from Matt.

Two more low budget labels who do great jobs on their releases are Jasmine ........and Proper Box :)

I agree Robert, Jasmine is a great label and they always have good sleeve notes as well as excellent sound. Reasonably priced as well. :D
