I was really cross, because when I was in Bounemouth, I saw that he was at the BIC next Friday-I had missed him by a exactly one week.!!

Yes Mark, I have :D Superb!
Went to the Bridgewater Hall on Friday. Thought Andy looked very well and sang very well too :D Very pleased for him that the show went extremely well. The standing ovation and endless cheering were well deserved and clearly greatly appreciated by Mr W.
So pleased to find that Andy sang a mix of the songs from the new cd and a nice range of the old hits. :D. He surprised me actually as he hasn't lost so much vocally as I thought he had which made it even better really. Andy told the audience at the end he'd had a great time and hoped we had too. Well, listening to people afterwards I don't think he need worry about that!!
The lad next to me turned and said to me at one point;"Utterly remarkable, how old is he again? Incredible". I think that just about summed up the night really. Andy was definitlyl well worth going to see and I do hope the rest of the tour proves to be the same as Friday night.

While I remember, thanks again for the information you gave me about the tickets, the kind of show to expect from Andy and the info on the Bridgewater Hall Mark. I think you were correct on all counts. First visit to the Bridgewater Hall and I found it very nice although the same lad told me that the acoustics are not so good for those sat at the very top and it's sometimes difficult to hear. Certainly a nice venue though. .

L-Brilliant stuff!
The Bridgewater Hall is a superb venue purpose built for concerts-all setas are perfectly positioned for seeing/hearing.We've only seen vocalists there like Tony Bennett,Andy etc.,we can imagine how spectacular an orchestra concert would be.
Stars of Andy's calibre cannot give a 'bad'performance-it's in their blood!
Best Wishes,

I'm surprised John hasn't reported that Andy Williams' It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year jumped from 43 to 25 on Sunday's UK Singles Chart, selling 5418 downloads. It should move even higher this week as the physical single hit the shops today. Who is the beautiful lady on the CD single cover?

Its the most wonderful holiday song of them all.....

Andy Williams was, and is, a real star. His chart career spans decades, even a relative youngster like me can remember 'Solitaire' hitting the charts! My Mum and Dads record collection contained a fantastic double album of his and I remember playing it on our old 'auto changer' record player - - the fact he is still performing today is fantastic.

I think my generation (i.e. the 40s and slightly under  ) will always associate him with that wonderful cheeses-fest that is 'Music to watch girls by' that, single handedly, sparked a revival in interest in his career, and a resurgence in easy listening music that, thankfully, has remained to this day. All that from a Fiat Punto advert!

I think that its Andy who is singing 'behind' the trailer for Anitpodean soap 'neighbours' on Channel 5! And the song? 'On the street where you live'....
