Walk Away

Matt's record is playing as I write - I think Don Black has played him every week since standing in for Elaine Paige - ah! he's just confirmed that he has and paid a nice trbute to Matt.

I think the opening of Walk Away is fantastic, it just suits Matt so much and when it comes on the radio it's like an old friend! It's a song I never tire of listening to infact I never tire of any of Matt's songs - well maybe one,(Spanish Eyes!!!)

I heard it earlier too-it sounded really lovely, and it was good to hear Don Blacks nice words about Matt--calling him the "Unforgettable Matt Monro"

I could never get tired of Walk Away. And I agree the intro is perfect. I would never get tired of Spanish Eyes as it's so exciting and unique. I find that I'm a bit tired of Softly As I Leave You.

Why wouldn't Don play the songs he wrote---he will get commission each time !!

If I had either of those songs i would play them non stop.
