Hi clever John,
Did you watch the new comedy/drama, The Invisibles,
on BBC 1 last night? They played a few bars (a mere
snatch) of Matt's, On Days Like These, during the programme.
It made me aware (although I didn't need to be reminded)
of just what a superb voice Matt was blessed with. I lost the
gist of the plot momentarily just contemplating the fact.
I actually quite enjoyed the programme.

I am really upset that Brooke went-she has been one of my favourites from the start--I'm even more upset that Jason is still there --wake up America---he is not a good singer !!!
I think Brooke may still do well---many of the former 4th and 5th places have done well--I recently read that Kelly Pickler won some sort of award at the Country Music Awards--and I am pretty sure she did not get to the top 3.

I have just had a thought---is America keeping Jason in--because he is the WORST singer ? I believe they were doing that last year with Sanjaya [or whatever his name was] last year. That can only be the reason, after Carly going last week, and Brooke this week.
And on the subject--what has happened to Rhydian--and the winner of the X-factor---crumbs-I've even forgotten his name---oh, I remember--it was Leon. I have not heard so much as a squeak out of either of them since the X-Factor Final.

They both have fan websites Marian, but you are quite right in saying we hear very little if anything, about them these days, especially Leon Jackson.
Rhydian looks as if he's doing better, his latest ventures are appearing at Newbury Racecourse and Norwich City's football ground!
It does say Cameron Mackintosh offered him a role in "Les Mis" though to be fair, and there was apparently a sell out concert.

Jason's September Morn' was not good at all. He's still in the competition because he's the most popular with the young girls. So they are voting for him repeatedly. On the American Idol forum, he has 50,000 more postings that David Archuleta. It has become a popularity contest.
I thought Brooke's I'm A Believer was one of the worst performances on the show this year. So she deserved to leave for that. Stick to the melody and don't try to change it. I Am I Said was a bit better, but not enough to save her. She's popular with the 35 - 95 age group, but they usually don't vote.
Syesha will probably leave this week. She's a bit ordinary, but seems so nice. She'll have a great career in TV or on Broadway.
The theme this week is Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which basically means they can sing anything, as the artist list will be quite extensive and diverse.
