How did I miss it ??

Good idea to sign up for Paypal, John--it makes things much easier for buying-and selling--especially abroad !!

That's good John. Watch out though, if someone pays you with Paypal you always have to pay the fee.

This could easily qualify for'MOST EXCITING ALBUM OF THE YEAR'.title.
It's a superb example of how a'live'performance should be.
Everything perfect-in really top sound too.
Thanks to Michele and NIGHT OWL.
I hear Russell Davis(amongst others) is planning to feature it one of his upcoming BBC Radio 2 programmes.

That's excellent news Mark.
Yes Marian, it saves a lot of time with paypal, messing about with cheques or postal orders etc, I don't know why I never did it before. I don't use ebay a great deal really, perhaps once or twice a month.

Wait till you hear it!! I'm sure it will live up to your expectations! It was certainly a pleasure to work on.

However, I think it will have to competition for the award from the "Live in Australia 1984" Album that I have just restored and re-mastered for release later in the year which is also fabulous!

If anyone hears any more about Russell Davis featuring it do keep us posted!

Richard, It proves what Clive Fuller states in the latest "IN TUNE." magazine, that the major labels have got it so wrong that there is no market for this kind of music, and a reminder of how Matt's The Ultimate and the DVD, "An Evening With" sold.
Nice to see the latest must have's "MATT MONRO SINGS" and the full advert of Matt's "YESTERDAY" in there too.

Thank you Marian.

I have to say that working on these recordings is a pleasure and a privilege.

It is Michele and my mission to get Matt's recordings issued in the best quality possible - despite the best efforts of certain record companies.

I know what Harry and Lena mean when they say major labels don't take this music seriously.

Record companies think that churning out the same product again and again is what people want (How many times can you sell the same recording?) but if you look at the sales of The Rare Monro that are not inconsequential, then it proves that well put together archive releases are worth doing - as long as they are done well!

Well, you are both doing a tremendous job which is much appreciated :D :D
If you don't mind me asking Richard, were you a Matt Monro fan before Michele "discovered you" so to speak?

Oh yes,

My mothers fault actually. She had a copy of Heartbreakers and it got me hooked on Matt at the age of 8!

Always been a sucker for a good singer! Nat Cole, Mel Torme, Bennett, Sinatra, however i'm a Beatles nut so the George Martin connection drew me in too!

Have a look back at my spotlight page if you want to know more about my background

http://www.mattmonro.com/spotlight_marc ... moore.html

I have just realised that both Manila Concerts and Australia 1984 are featured in the picture of the Monro archive tapes (he says in an attempt to keep on topic!)

Of course Richard, I forgot! I had read your Spot in the Spotlight when it was first added to the website, but as one gets older, info. doesn't stay in the memory as well as it once did! It was nice to read through it all again anyway.

We've done exactly that too Richard, and this time having read through your article in the Spotlight again, and freshly digesting what we've read, we can only imagine the patience and skill needed to go through this time consuming process.
We are truly appreciative and grateful. The results have been amazing, to say the least.
