:?: Don't you listen to Malcolm Laycock from 10 - 11, Robert? I like his program too, as well as Sunday Half Hour and Alan Titchmarsh's Melodies For You. :) I just watched an excellent TV programme on Radio 2 that featured Desmond Carrington, the Brass Band programme, and Friday Night is Music Night ... thanks Mariana. :D I believe there was a Brass Band special tonight, that I will "listen to again" in the next week.

I have just heard Mariah Carey's new single "Bye Bye"---and to my amazement---I really like it!!!

. I think she also sang it on American Idol

Been listening to cd 3 of "Matt at the Movies" tonight, featuring the lovely "Southern Star" which I have only just noticed is a slightly different version to the one from the "Ultimate".

I am watching (and listening) to Vic Damone live from the Royal Festival Hall at the moment. Never seen him perform before, very enjoyable concert from 1985 with some of his hits including "An Affair To Remember" and "You're Breaking My Heart". 8)

You know The Feeling Marian. Radio 2 plays them all the time. Remember in the town/city/place game, you posted the song with the lyric "it's raining hard in North Virginia, just like London town." The Feeling sang that song. They are from London and Hampshire I believe.

They were all over the radio in 2006 with the hits Sewn, Never Be Lonely, Love It When You Call, and my favourite Fill My Little World.

I've previously posted that I met them at a Borders Book Store in 2006 while they were trying to break the U.S. It was kind of sad, they only had six people listening to them and I was by far the most enthusiastic. They were so impressed that I had brought my limited release 7 inch vinyl copy of Fill My Little World for them to sign, that they gave me a free ticket for their concert that evening for which they were opening for The Fray.

:?: Is there anything good on the second album, Gray? It's been panned by everyone but the die hard fans. I didn't like either of the first two singles. It's sad that they are having a flop second album as they are nice guys. :)

This morning I listened to a Society of Singers CD, which featured great singers like Jerry Vale (Pretend You Don't See Her), Jo Stafford (You Belong To Me), Vic Damone (You're Breaking My Heart  ), Bea Wain (Deep Purple), Dinah Shore (Buttons & Bows), and a fantastic medley of Can't Take My Eyes Off You and Goin' Out Of My Head by the Lettermen. I love how they combined those songs! :?: Has anyone heard it?

Hi Paul

The album is OK - I like the 'North Virginia' song, I haven't heard the first album so I have nothing to compare it against, but it was fine to me! :)

I'm afraid I have never heard of the Society of Singers cd Paul, but it sounds right up my street! :)
