I know it's not the same but it is available in reasonable quality on iPlayer.

Matts voice is deeper by 1982, but still in very good "nick" :)

Wished I'd recorded it for future listens. Checked it out on iplayer - superb performance.

An excellent show, and Matt was in top form...as always. First class performance.

Listening to the programme for the past hour. The entire show was fantastic. Enjoyed Matt on the second group more than the first. He didn't hold the last note on Time After Time as long as the recording, but it was still longer than each of us could hold it.

Loved the Henry Mancini songs that the lady sang; had never heard two of them.

Will listen again to the entire programme tomorrow or Friday morning. Then it goes away into cyberheaven!

We agree with everyone - this was indeed a superb programme. :D :D

We live in hope that they will repeat the Billy May Concert and a show called Matt's Kind Of Music from Golders Green broadcast March 1979 which was another fabulous show. :D

I would love them to repeat both too - However 'Matt's Kind Of Music' may be somewhat more difficult as (unless this has been hiding in the archives like the Ron Goodwin concert) there is no longer a broadcast quality copy of it around!

I have asked my contact at the Beeb to double check the archive database again - after all if the Goodwin show was there (and they've been denying it's existence for years!) then maybe something else has come to light.

There are a few other 1970's/80's performances i'd like to find too made with the BBC Radio Orchestra - we've got a few of these 'off air' but they are either not brlliant quality or incomplete!

Let's hope a few more things do turn up, then perhaps we could have a Matt at the BBC Vol 2!

Hi Monrovians..
Most annoyed that I'm so far away from the home of Matt Monro and missed this gem, but great to see Matt's memory lives on..
and rightly so..
Wasn't a pod-cast or some such thingamy, was it.??
Love to All..
