Hi Gray,
It was just ok, pretty scary, but not too. More like a psychological thriller/ghost story. It's worth watching if you have an hour and half to spare.

I put lot's of small bids on the DVD, with a maximum of £7 ............ hoping to put others off bidding when they saw all my bids..........it worked :D

Two segments of the DVD stand out for me at the moment................Katherine Jenkins does a Calamity Jane presentation including the songs Whip Crack Away and Secret Love.........just lovely :) ....... and the other standout is when Katherine and the emsembe do their take of La Vie En Rose, the backing to the song is very French sounding and very beautiful and moving :)

We all sat down to watch 'Thoroughly Modern Millie' with Julie Andrews on dvd last night, it is a bit long and not all of it works, but it was perfect Sunday evening viewing.

The kids enjoyed it too!

Anyone else seen this musical?

Yes twice some years ago Gray, I agree it is quite long - a lot of musicals are and you do tend to get rather bored sometimes.

Hachi A Dog's Tale starring Richard Gere, what a beautiful tale of a dog's devotion to his master and it's a true story.

Karl, Eman, thanks for replying!
Interesting to read your thoughts, I think we enjoyed it more than you both did!

Watched the DVD Moments to Remember songs from the 50's and 60's tonight, thanks John :) ............first time I have watched it..............a frail looking Frankie Laine came out of retirement to appear on the DVD singing Thats My Desire :) ............the show was recorded not long before Frankie Laine passed away, so he did well to actually sing the song.................another thing I noticed, one of the members of the Four Aces has a resemblance of our Matt :)

Last night watched "The Nightcomers", with Marlon Brando, Thora Hird and Stephanie Beacham. Never seen it before, but good film, but anything is good with our Thora in it. :D
