DANCING WITH THE STARS USA

The new series of this show--#14 is due to start in USA on Monday night. It is the equivalent of our "Strictly Come Dancing".

For a change, I recognise more than just a couple of contestants---Katherine Jenkins ; Gladys Knight ; Martine Navratilova ; Melissa Gilbert aka Laura Ingalls .

My sister and I have watched every series of this show--but this year "WATCH" for some reason has decided not to show it. We are both really furious about that. Hoping it may show up on another Satellite channel, so have added it to my Locate Tv--but certainly nothing next week.

I know not many on this Forum watch it--wondering if Paul, or Henry or Eman check it out.

If I'm not busy Mariana I'll try to pop in on the show. Wasn't too big on Mellisa Gilbert or her sister Mellisa Sue Anderson on the show, I was more of a Alison Arngrim (Nellie Olson) fan!! My siblings always said that was my female counterpart growing up or Veruca Salt from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory since they claimed I was a spoiled brat!! Ha ha! One of the perks of being the baby of the family!!

Like Eman, I watch it while changing channels & will inform you on the latest results. Katherine Jenkins is Welsh & read she's very popular there.

I plan to switch between Dancing with the Stars and The Voice, trying to see the danciing and singing and not the hosts and judges. Dancing has a good cast this year. Gladys Knight is lovely and I hope she does well. Shari Shepherd from The View really wants to win. Jack Wagner has been a soap opera actor for years and had a big hit on the pop charts, All I Need. I was surprised with including Katherine Jenkins as I didn't think she was popular in the US.

Apparently Katherine Jenkins danced very well last night, and is the favourite to win, but that came from the Sarasota Welsh Society, and they may be biased!

I have not heard anything yet, but the photos of her at the momnet are just great-she looks so good !! I have a feeling she will do will.

Mariana and Marian, my honest opinion when I was surfing channels last night, I popped in and saw Katherine Jenkins dance, she was mind blowing. Very graceful when she dances. I thought she was the best one!!

I was switching between Dancing, The Voice, and cooking dinner at the same time ... tiring.

The only one I watched closely was Gladys Knight. She was lovely; I hope she stays in for a long time. I think they all did pretty well last night.

Paul, yes Gladys was also graceful on the dancefloor. Yep me too I was switching between both but concentrated more on the voice. I hope they get rid of Christina and Cee-Lo as judges are put someone better. Christina just gets on my nerves for some reason? Does she seem a little arrogant to you?

Marian what time and channel is Dancing with the Stars on over here. I don't think The Voice doesn't start here until Saturday.

I watched the Premier show last night and thought the scores were on average higher than any previous first show!
By the reaction of the audience and judges, it seems that Katherine Jenkins and the Cuban TV Star, William Levy, were the best!
What kind of name is "Levy" for a Cuban? He looks like a tall "Ricky Martin" and his pro partner is Cheryl Burke who is always good!

Katherine Jenkins does a bit of dancing with Darcey Bussell on the very entertaining Viva La Diva DVD (which I watched again tonight)
