I'm listening to the Alan Titchmarsh's Melodies For You. I don't know how you could skip over any of this wonderful music Robert.
I just heard the finale of Elgar's Enigma Variations
and Joyce Grenfell and Charles Williams are coming up next. I finally got to hear Van Doonican. And I've always wanted to hear Cara Mia by David Whitfield as I believe it was number 1 for a long time on the charts.

I agree Paul, Alan plays such a varied selection of music and very often songs or pieces of music that we haven't heard for so long.
In fact I sent Alan a message this week about a piece of music and a singer that was played at the end of one of his live Chelsea Flower show programmes on TV recently. We are hoping he may play it one of these times. He may possibly have played it before in a programme that we unavoidably missed.
We shall see..

Chris, talking of Nat King Coles, SMILE, they played it all the way through on the TV sports programme today with reminders of the 2008 footballers who were left crying after their teams were defeated.

We also love Nat King Cole, his STARDUST is a classic, and this one.. A LITTLE STREET WHERE OLD FRIENDS MEET.

Just trying to locate 'The Spaniard who blighted my life' on i-tunes. Sarah Kennedy played it last week on her 'Showtime' slot, and it had me chuckling on my drive to work
'I'll raise a bunion on his Spanish onion if I catch him bending tonight', along with the classic refrain 'he shall die! he shall die! He shall die tiddly-i-ti-ti-ti-ti-ti-ti!
