Thanks, John, for your kind words. The postings do acc-umulate
at a rate of knots. I'm reminded of the adage: 'time flies when
you are enjoying yourself.' I am also grateful for fellow members'
good-natured indulgence of my occasional 'senior moment'.

Hi Keith. I am sorry to have missed out on congratulating you at 200 posts  I see you are already 20% of the way towards 300! It's always a pleasure to read your posts, and often educational to

Many thanks, Michael.
I actually missed the milestone myself; fellow forum
members kindly brought it to my attention. I can thank
the Authors' Annexe for many of my postings. In the
process of transcribing my manuscript to it, I have found
several flaws of which I would otherwise be unaware.
So I shall be eternally grateful for the opportunity.
The experience is proving enjoyable and educational for
me; to think other forum members may find it of interest is
the chocolate flake on the ice cream.

Sorry, dear Administrator,
I somehow posted Michael's message
twice and I don't know how to delete it.
Please release me from the straightjacket
of my own making.

I told you that I was a computer technoprat.
Perhaps I do need to be restrained. Forgive me.

Hi Keith,
I think I can help you here.
It's quite easy to delete an unwanted posting.
When you are logged on, click on edit on the post you want to remove, and an option will be given at the bottom to delete the message.
Just click on this, and it will then ask you to confirm you want to delete, to which you obviously click 'yes'.

But you can only do that if somebody has not already posted after your posting--then it is not possible to delete--so delete immediately if you need to.

Thanks for the advice, Mariana.
I couldn't see the delete option Marian kindly
referred to. The latest 'trick' I tend to play on
myself is to preview my posting and then forget to
submit it. On two occasions today my computer
appeared to lose patience with my ineptitude
because it unceremoniously dumped me out of the website.
But am I downhearted? Not at all, I love it here.
Keith
