Gray, looking at the quality this year, I doubt if England would have even got this far, more probably following France home!

Boring wasn't the word Robert, I dozed off until Harry woke me to see the extra time and going into penalties that looked on the cards.
What a cruel blow for Croatia in the closing seconds., who must have thought they'd got it.

Our son is going to Croatia on a camping holiday next weekend so he was shattered when they lost. He was hoping they would still be in the compettiton while he was there.
He lives in a part of North London where apparently there is a big and noisy Turkish community, so he was happy to be here last night and not at home.

Tonight's match was different kettle of fish :) ....................Russia again played superbly and deserved to progress to the semi-finals :)

We got home just in time to see the highlights, and after seeing Russia's performance, look out any team that may have to take penalties against them the way they played tonight.

Aww !! it's not so bad, this holding back new style of play that's become a habit, gives me the signal to nod off for most of the 90 minutes. 8) :P
I wake up to the sound of the kettle going on and just half an hour's wait to the guaranteed penalty shoot out.
You can really plan your evening so much better.

Spain totally outplayed the absolutely hapless Germany   tonight, to deservedly win Euro 2008. A boxing referee would have given every round to Spain :)

We was delighted. Good game and Spain deserved to win, although we thought that things could go wrong for them when Fabregas and Torres was taken off and replaced..so WELL DONE SPAIN.

Yes L&H, if Germany had scored a "lucky" equaliser then Spain would have played the 30 minutes extra time without those two star players. So that could have backfired on them
