matt monro on Rising Damp

Not a lot I could do this afternoon, so watched old episodes of "Rising Damp" on ITV 3.

They mentioned Matt in the first half and then in the second played a LP of his "Softly Softly" Leonard Rossitter was trying to woo Miss Jones with it. Len

We can watch those episides of Rising Damp again and again :lol: and it's always good to hear Matt's music played and mentioned.

I don't know if I have heard Matt sing Softly Softly...........................does anyone know which CD the song on (I have most of Matts CDs) :?: or is it only on an LP.

Matt never recorded Softly Softly - perhaps it was Softly as i Leave You?

That's probably the case Richard. We had been discussing Ruby Murray's Softly Softly elsewhere, so I expect the titles got mixed up. :?
