Hello everyone

I had just about everything Matt sang on vinyl i am now busy getting them on c/d i have two dvd's so far and one more on order Does anyone know how many dvd's there are? plus after reading the book i see Matt made several recordings before he made it with portrait of my love does anyone know if any of those recordings were ever rereleased?

Thanks for your help, this is a great site i will be visiting often its good to be among other fans of this wonderful man with the golden voice.

Hello Val. There has only been 2 Matt DVDs released so far, with another one out shortly. The two already out are "An Evening With Matt Monro" and "A Portrait Of Matt Monro". The other one is due for release any time, which is the DVD you probably have on order is "Matt At The Movies", which contain's Matts only feature film appearance in Satan's Harvest co-starring with George Montgomery and Tippi Hedron. The film also comes with a special 45 minute DVD called "Go Go With Matt Monro" which sound's very good according to other MM member's who ordered the DVD early through Odeon Entertainment.
I'm not too sure about Matts early releases Val, I may have one or two in my collection (I definitely have Love Walked In). There may be more hopefully in the forthcoming double CD release "The Rare Monro".

Matt's first commercial recordings were made with Decca between 1956 and 1957. All of these recordings (less the two that no one seems able to find anymore) appear on the Matt Monro/Mel Tormé CD, Matt 'n' Mel (cat. no. 8206422), released on 31 December 1993. Sadly, this no longer seems to be available at the moment.
