Just can't understand the appeal of this artiste -dreadful appearance at Glastonbury-I must be missing something?

I guess that was a deliberate mis-spelling of her name---very apt.

Everything I hear about her, makes me determined never to ever watch or listen to her. She has had opportunities that most young singers can only dream of, and she has squandered them.

Can somebody tell us what else she does apart from nearly toppling .... over head in those high heels.
Is she from a balancing troupe in a circus.?

If she took that 2 stone of weight off her head, she might be able to walk in a straight line

I watched the first half hour of her Glastonbury set, just out of curiosity, what a shambles. When she was trying to talk I couldn't understand a word she was saying

not too bad a singing voice........................but she has a truly common gob on her

Hi Everyone,

Why is it that Amy has been awarded this and that by the music industry and yet other artists who have more talent, go un-noticed because they don't behave like a spoilt child.

I must admit, I did feel sorry for Amy but now I am so bored with her that I don't read about her in the newspapers anymore. It is a shame that someone couldn't give her a slap on the legs and tell her to pull herself together!

It looks as though we are all agreed on this--Amy Winehouse is doing herself no favours by her behaviour--in the end she will alienate everybody.

I think Amy Winehouse is a talented singer. I can see the appeal and her songs are jazz influenced and different. However, I also believe she is headed for an early demise in the not too distant future. I can already see the headlines and the Shock Horror news that frankly, Is written in 100 foot letters on the wall of fame. The press said she was superb and back to form at Glastonbury. The small film footage that I saw of her must have been of somwhere else because i thought she was either drunk or stoned....or both!

I think I heard her singing somewhere but not recently,nowadays it's mostly drink/drugs/police arrests/etc/etc..that occupy much of her waking hours. I guess I've been spoiled having seen so many true artistes/singers over the years.several of whom may or may not have had problems of one kind or another.I just can't understand where she's coming from either privately or professionally

I saw her perform Rehab on Children In Need in November 2006 (the weekend prior to our first Fans Reunited). At that time I had only heard Rehab a few times and never heard any of the Frank album. I was transfixed with her performance and the band and background vocalists. I also loved the songs Back To Black and Tears Dry On Their Own. Can't stand her version of Valerie, but love the original by the Zutons.

Mark Ronson deserves most of the credit for the success of the Back to Black album. He's reaping the benefits ... he recently got 1 million pounds for DJing a birthday party for one hour.

Amy Winehouse's neighbours have launched a campaign to have her removed from her London home after a series of late-night parties and fights.

The troubled star could be ejected from her GBP700,000 rented flat after a string of complaints from disgruntled neighbours in Camden, north London.

One neighbour tells British newspaper The Mirror, "This place used to be a nice quiet area until Amy moved in.

"She's nothing but trouble and every night she is partying. If she's not inviting friends round to live it up she is starting fights.

"A lot of us have complained to the council, but we have been told we need evidence of any wrongdoing.

"I've already filmed some of the trouble Amy has caused and I'll be handing it over to the council to have a look at. Hopefully, something will be done."

It doesn't look as if she is turning over a new leaf does it?!! This is from this morning's news.

Yes, and Amy's home is in a quiet Victorian mews (or it was )

and less than a week after thumping a fan at Glastonbury, she was involved in a punch-up in a London pub.
Our question is...why does she need bodyguards.

Or take up boxing. Womens boxing is quite popular in the States. We've got a friend over there who'se a promotor as well as a great author. He'd get her a story too.
