Questions and Answers Game (A General Knowlegde quiz)
Re: Questions and Answers Game (A General Knowlegde quiz)
"Sandra" is from Dusty's album "It Begins Again" she only sings a reference to breaking a glass on a tile on the song - what I am talking about is an actual sound of crockery smashing, it was a bit of fun at the end of her album.
Keep going, you'll get it yet!

Two questions for you Karl...would we be right in thinking it could be Dusty herself smashing the crockery, and was it possible that somewhere she had some Greek ancestry

Re: Questions and Answers Game (A General Knowlegde quiz)
Actually in the early days Dusty used to buy cheap crockery from Woolworths and throw it against the wall to relieve tension - ooh it made a lovely sound she said She even enjoyed clearing up the mess!
Nothing Greek about Dusty but she was of Scottish/Irish Descent.
I actually tried this many, many years ago - came home from work in a foul mood - found the oldest plate in the house and threw it with all my might on the kitchen floor. Now the kitchen floor is notorious as the kiss of death if anything falls on it but this plate bounced - I burst out laughing and that was the end of my mood. I don't think I've been in a foul mood since, I just think of that crazy incident!!!

Well at least she wasn't buying crockery from Harrods,
and as for smashing plates on the floor, I can't say I've ever done that Karl
but every now and again will accidently drop a piece of china, say a few choice words followed by. Oh well I won't have to wash that up again. !!!

I hope they weren't Clarice Cliff! ( used to be sold in Woolworths and nowadays worth a fortune!) I bought a small piece in a jumble sale for about 5p, sold it on ebay for £65!

That was a nice bit of profit Marian. When you watch these programmes like Flog It, Dickinson's Deal, It's surprising what treasures people pick up from car boots and charity shops.
