Watched 'An Evening With Matt Monro' last night, and 'Go With Matt Monro' yesterday afternoon. Last weekend I watched 'Satan's Harvest'. Found the film a bit confusing towards the end, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Trying not to be biased, but I thought Matt seemed very comfortable in his role, whereas Tippi Hedren was very wooden.

Watched "A Taste Of Honey" last night with Dora Bryan and Rita Tushingham, surprisingly this is the first time I have seen this film, worth the wait. A good northern film. :)

Are you a fan of the British 'kitchen sink' drama's from the late 50's and 60's, John?

Yes, Gray, I generally like things like that. :) And of course Brtish Comedy films of the same era, of course. :)

Hi John, I remember you are a fan of the British comedy scene of this period, but I wondered how the gritty stuff played with you. Glad to hear you are a fan, I am also. :)

Eman, I just don't fancy SWatH...I have to be honest and say I saw the trailer and it just seemed like yet another film (yawn) about a young girl picking up a sword/pistol/crossbow (delete as applicable) and then killing people*.

I've had a belly full of that recently (Hannah, The Hunger Games etc) so I guess I am saying "where is Doris Day & Rock Hudson when you need them", know what I mean? :)

Thanks for the review though!
Keep 'em coming, I love to hear your thoughts :)

*PS I hope I haven't offended any female readers

Gray , no problem. I think I was the only one in the theatre hoping for Snow White to die or get killed to make me a least feel I got my monies worth. Kristen Stewart blah....still was acting like Bella. She's in dire need of acting lessons. I couldn't stand her shrieking and when she was fighting it was not realistic at all. I was expecting them to break out in a hand slapping fight instead of a sword fight     The effects and the other cast were good. Had it been a different leading lady it may have been better. I'm gonna go see if I can find a copy of "Manchester" with David Tennant, I believe this is about my footy team "Manchester United" (Don't kill me folks) LOL!!
