Julian Ovenden

Post by Marian » Wed Apr 25, 2012 10:41 am

Did anyone else see Julian Ovenden the other day on Breakfast, singing a song from his new album. He mentioned Matt Monro as one of the singers he admired, and I wondered if he might a good choice to play Matt in a film of the book! He's done quite a lot of acting too, and is most known for Foyle's War. :D

He played Andrew Foyle, who I think was Christopher Foyle's son Karl. I think I'll buy the CD too, but it's quite expensive though. The cheapest I've found in Play.com is £9.99

Marian, I did see Julian Ovenden mention Matt on Breakfast Time.
He sang songs and duets from Oklahoma on the BBC Proms 1910. A real professional . :) and Noah Stewart also...a lovely voice.
So good to know that decent songs and singers are surviving amid the rubbish singers around today. :)
