Friday night on BBC4 has a great variety of music:-

9PM SINATRA SINGS

10PM...SINGS BACHARACH & DAVID
(Featuring Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, The Carpenters, Sandie Shaw etc)

11PM BURT BACHARACH: THIS IS NOW
(A documentary narrated by Dusty)

11.50PM EASY LISTENING HITS AT THE BBC
(Includes Burt Bacharach & The Carpenters)

Karl, do they ever play songs By Judith Durham on these "Easy Listening" programs?... even though she is Australian,
and she will be 69 years old this July, and her voice is still angelic...

It's not often we see footage of The Seekers or Judith Henry but they still play Seekers records on the radio, I heard one only last week.

Henry, it's rare that they play Seekers records here on the oldies station. The only song they ever play and it's rare is "Georgy Girl".

Boy was I annoyed last night, I tuned into channel 5 but flicked over to BBC4 when the ad's were on. I did not record the Bacharach programme as I thought it was a repeat and there dressed casually and singing was my favourite male singer Jack Jones and I'd never seen that appeareance before either!!!!

I must remember to look for a repeat as they usually do within a few weeks, if anyone notices it listed please give me a shout.

MIke I just read this on Monday morning, I was looking for a repeat but never even thought to look at THAT time of the morning!!!! It was on tiny print in Radio Times.

I wouldn't try starting Karl - don't think that is possible from iplayer. Probably get another repeat soon.

KARL YOU CAN DOWNLOAD FROM IPLAYER GO TO YOUR SHOW CLICK ON IT AND WHEN IT COMES UP AT THE BOTTOM IT SAYS DOWNLOAD CLICK AND SELECT HOW YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD IT.
