There are three places on the forum where this special birthday for Radio 2 has been discussed. Here, The Lounge, and Entertainment World sections...   My apologies, it's four. Just found more comments on the "What Are you Listening To" section too!

I must admit with everything going on at the moment, it had slipped my mind, so thank you Lena and Harry fo mentioning it.

I will also mention that Johnny Mathis is now 72 years old-still looking good, as I have up-to-date photos sent to me regularly--he is still touring and doing concerts all over USA--and has a new cd, called "A Night to Remember", due for release at the end of the year.

I was prepared to be very upset if Don Black did not select a Matt Monro recording for the Tracks of His Years.

Don Black said that most of his memories of On Days like These are getting Quincy Jones to create a simple sound.

Ken Bruce then asked: "and Matt as a singer?"

Don Black: "Matchless ... irreplaceable ... the best"

Ken Bruce: "Can't put it better than that."
