I love her "Live from the Palladium" albums, Terence, they were the first ones I bought of hers. :)

Dorothy Squires was once the highest paid star when she was recording with Billy Reid here in the UK Terence.
She did sing with a great deal of emotion. Two favourites of ours are.
"When There's Love In Your Heart" and "Say It With Flowers " :lol: :lol:

After coming back from holiday a week or so ago, I have been feeling a bit low at work. So I dug my old walkman out, and I have been listening to Alma Cogan whilst painting up a house. She has worked wonders for my morale! Thanks, Alma.
Americans are very good at this kind of thing, but as in most things...........British is Best!

Yes John, Alma certainly can lift your spirits. We have often discussed her singing on this forum and there are several pages of postings about her on our 'Other Favourite Artists' section. :D :D :D :lol: :lol:

Couldn't resist putting on "Live in Australia" once again. This is definitely going to be a firm favourite, alongside "The Rare Monro". :D
