Like Mariana, I can only access the forum by using an old link from a topic reply notification. The forum has done nothing but good since it's inception and Michele has put her heart and soul into it. I'm holding onto the positive thought ...The MM site WILL survive..Frederick.
The voice of Matt Monro is part of my life. I take his music with me wherever I go.

First of all thanks for your help with getting us back on the web forum Michele. We agree wholeheartedly with all the comments here. Of course we don't want to lose the forum, we've become like a family, it's a way of life for many of us each day, not only does it give us the opportunity to discuss Matt and keep ahead of Matt's music, Michele has stated and perhaps they should take note, it's to spotlight other vocalists too, many of whom receive praise and recommendation from the members on this forum. Many of those singers without a personel web-site of their own.

We definitely need the Matt Monro forum to continue. It has helped us become more familiar with the world's greatest singer's music, as well as become exposed to the full gamut of other music, everyone from Edward Elgar to Elbow and Eric Coates to Eydie Gorme.

In addition, to all the dedicated members, there are others that access the forum as guests. I often see them pop in the middle of the night UK time! I'm sure they are there to find out more about Matt Monro and other singers.

It has become a second family for all of us. So much so that friends often ask about me about my Matt Monro forum family and want to know the current hot topics of discussion. :)

We cannot express our feeling enough if we should lose the Forum, we do not post a lot on it but do look at it every day and sometime have a good laugh at some of the postings.

Is there anything else we can do to assist you in mantaining the forum?.

Best wishes to all

Dear All

So sorry not to have been able to get on here sooner, and make my thoughts known!

This site has become so much part of all of our lives. People from all around the world, initially brought together by our love of Matt and his songs. United in our love for good music, we've grown into a real community, sharing in each others joys and sadness.

It would be so sad if EMI withdrew their hosting of this site, as it has become a part of many people's daily lives. I can understand that they are looking at ways of cutting costs during current times, but now more than ever, Companies are also keen to play a part in the greater community, and this could be considered to be part of that contribution. Please EMI, look beyond the money and see how your artistes, past and present, and their art means to us all.

Michael

Apologies

We have just returned from holiday and read that you have been experiencing problems with accessing the Forum. When we read that it was likely that the Forum could be closed down we were very upset.

This is an excellent way for the fans of Matt to communicate with each other and also to be kept up to date with any news regardinng Matt's music etc.

There is also feedback regarding the new CDs that have been issued and it is always a pleasure to read all these reviews.

We do hope that the forum will continue for the future and that EMI will appreciate just how much this Forum would be missed by all the loyal fans of Matt Monro.

Maureen & Harry :)

I would be upset to lose the Forum as it gives us all a chance to share memories and information, much of which I find fascinating. It provides a great resource regarding all things Matt. May it long continue!

Copied from a post elsewhere and pasted here for EMI to maybe read...?

I said goodbye to Jeff last night after The Last Shadow Puppets concert, and I was very sad.
Amanda and I had a really wonderful time with him and we will miss him.
Jeff is a really special person - that is why he fits in so well with everyone on the forum - because you all are too!
If Michele needs any help in keeping this forum alive, she should point out to EMI that this is a home to so many people, it has become a family.
It is incredible to think that through our mutual love of Matt Monro and his music, such friendships have developed. It's very special.
