Are stars of cyberspace repartee,

quick-fire Lena And Harry;

Well, it's a few years now since we visited Clacton Robert, so we can't really comment too much except that it had a similar reputation to Margate years ago where Londoners flocked to for a week or even Two weeks if they were a bit flushed.
We had a friend who'se Mother took in these holiday makers in Margate.
Her regulars would arrive at 5.o.clock, drop their cases and head for the pub and return home and have a sing song up to the early hours with her playing the piano.
Now we come to Cleethorpes, of which we can comment. In the winter the icy cold wind could blow your head off. :x :x :wink:

We've braved that too John. Some friends of ours from Switzerland had heard about Blackpool and wanted to see it. So we took them. It was like home from home to them. :)

Isn't it like that in summer in Blackpool, too--at least it was the last time I went there !!

We think what John's trying to say is... if by accident you forget to pack your sun cream, you needn't panic. :lol: :lol:

There hasn't been much evidence of the sun the past couple of days. Plenty of rain though! :lol:

I used to work in the old Music Hall Tavern in Blackpool, in Talbot Sq., now Yates's. it moved just further up than the Winter Gardens, then got bought by Joe Longthorne! Mid week in the winter, on the front, in Blackpool is, I think, the lonliest place on earth!
Americans are very good at this kind of thing, but as in most things...........British is Best!
