My favourite of all the singles is "Only Yesterday" Robert. Followed closely by "Yesterday Once More".

There are two songs on the collection that I really like, they were new songs to me too - Those Good Old Dreams- and -I Need to Be In Love- (which I do love) I wonder if they were released in the UK, or just the USA ??

"Those good old dreams" was from the album "Made in America" which was one of the later albums--I think "I need to be I love" was from one of the earlier albums--but I cannot track which one yet.

One of my favourite albums is "Voice of the heart" released after Karen died--some stunning songs on there--such as "Now" "Make believe its your first time" "Look to your dreams"

Oops- thats a good one!! Can't even spell his name!!! Lucky I found anything on the web!! I now have my CD on my Ipod and I listened to it whilst doing the weekly shop - made light work of such a chore!! Hubby who has been away all week cant wait to here it when he gets home. Of course unlike me he knows all the songs and loads about Matt (not going to risk using the last name again!!) Although he was amazed to know Matt's daughter runs this forum!!

It is amazing how many people actually misspell the name Monro--I remember last year trying to book a seat to see Matt Monro Junior, and his name was not coming up in any of the searches---I eventually realised that they had him listed as Matt Munro Jr--and that was the box office !!!!

"I Need To Be In Love" is a lovely song, and it is from the 1976 "A Kind Of Hush" album. I think this was just a minor hit for them. Like Marian said, "Those Good Old Dreams" was from The "Made In America" album was from 1981 but I don't think it charted over here.

Thanks John--I knew that "I need to be in love" was from one of the earlier albums. I do not know whay "Made in America" did not do better--some great songs on it--"Because we are in love" "Beechwood 4 -5789"
"Want you back in my life again" "Touch me when we're dancing"--one or 2 are on compilation albums, that is all/

Yes, I agree Marian, I also like "The Strength of a Woman" and "I Believe You" as well.
"Voice of the Heart" is still my favourite though as well.

Listening to Kenny Rogers - A Love Song Compilation.
It's very well remastered. The song now playing is Buy Me A Rose.

I love that song "Buy me a rose"-I first heard it at a Country Awards show. some years ago, where it won an award for Kenny Rogers.

I am not sure if I have ever heard it on radio, but I know that after I heard it, I searched for a cd that included that song.
