Miracle In The Rain with Jane Wyman & Van Johnson.

I saw this as a child and bought it a few years ago in America, never watched it until now - what a tear-jerker but for an old black & white movie it was so clear.

That was one of my favourite films ever-I also saw it when I was very young-as far as I know it has never been on TV-I tried for ages to get it on dvd, but no sign of it-then I tried a US site, and got it from there. I still loved it many years later--a true weepy

Acts Of Contrition starring Mark Harmon as a priest on leave of absence and working as a radio show host, right at the start I recognised the Boston skyline and the T (the underground). It was also great to see a scene in Ruggles T station and also Copley which is right in the heart of the city - Ruggles I passed through many times in the past on the T.

I didn't pay a lot of money for it Marian, it was ok but nothing to get excited about.

Gotta agree with Karl, it was just an ok movie when I first saw it in 1995 when it first came out. From time to time they show it on tv during late night. For me it's just one of those movies you'd watch because there isn't really much on.

Watched "Bunny Lake is Missing" last night, an Otto Preminger film from 1965, with Keir Dullea.
Quite a good little mystery, nicely photographed in b&w.

Hey Gray, Otto Perminger is a pretty cool actor, I only got to know of him originally because of the old 1960's Batman tv show. He played the villian "Egghead".

Watched "Killer Joe" last night at the cinema, a new film by William Friedkin who brought us family favourites such as The French Connection and The Exorcist.
But those oldies were good films, Killer Joe is repugnant, really repulsive.
Avoid.

Sounds like a blah movie Gray. I was dragged to the theatre by my 11 year old niece last night to see the Katy Perry movie. UGH The things we do for kids!!! Now I know how my Grandfather probably felt when he took me to see "Yellow Submarine".

I think Killer Joe is an NC-17 in the U.S., Eman, so it may not appear at your multiplex.

I bet you loved the Katie Perry film really ;)

I will look forward to their comments, Eman.
It is getting mixed reviews over here, but Imax pre-release bookings are still through the roof and breaking records left, right and centre.

Terrible tragedy at the premiere of the Batman movie in Denver Colarado, at least 10 shot dead and many injured.
