Unbelievable, isn't it?
I understand a suspect is in custody.

I heard about that!
Gray, the movie was ace! More for adults and older kids though! Good special effects and Michael Caine was brilliant as Alfred the Butler.

Eman, the negative feedback over here seems to be focusing on the movie's great length and a misplaced air of superiority, a delusion of grandeur.

You obviously don't agree?

Gray, yes it was a tad too long and it did seem at times a bit over the top. Yet I still think it was an ace film. The thing that worries me now with the recent turn of events is what if there are copy cats that will mimick the tragedy that occurred. There are people sick enough to do such a thing. If you recall the Columbine shootings of 2000, and how many copy cats that sprang. Here alone in San Diego, they had stuff like that but not as tragic. What once was a simple pleasure has now become something to be feared. I wonder how the cinemas will deal with this as people will probably be too afraid to go now. Such a pity!!

Last night I watched a dvd I copied from VHS of tv appearances by Wall Street Crash over the years. What a thoroughtly professional group they were, singing live and doing choreographed movements, I always enjoy watching them and they were even on Val Doonican's show a few times and did a number with him.

It's very sad but the day must be coming when you have to be searched to enter a cinema, or pass through a metal detector.

Marian, that's what they are saying and talking about on the news, is having something to go through like at the airports just to see a movie! That's really sad.

That's the thin edge of the wedge, what next, restaurants, shops, churches even????

Remember the days when there was no scanners in airports?

Exactly Karl. My only gripe would be that at those premire/midnight showings that they stop anyone from dressing in full costume. I think that may have been the key, people thought the whole thing was a prop that's how he got through.

That seems good sense Eman. It's a start anyway.

Watched a Hammer film from 1965 last night - The Nanny with Bette Davis.
Not bad, not bad at all.
