is excellent; he has always been a a favourite singer
of mine. I liked you mood-matching list of songs;
mood plays such a big part in determining our preferences
at any given time.
In response to Jon's stricture of one choice of song only,
mine would be Matt's version of I Get Along Without You
Very Well. The song was originally a poem that was later
partnered by a perfect melody. In my opinion it is the
best recording of a song in the history of popular music.

I certainly look forward to seeing your full choice of desert island songs, Keith; I'll be submitting mine some time this week.

John - I knew it would be difficult to choose one song above all others so I see you've gone for two. Hmm. Anyway, I agree that Matt's "Let Me Choose Life" is a corker, though it won't be on my final list. Any list of 12 could always contain an alternative 12, of course, and another alternative 12 after that, but we do have to distil it down to THE 12.
