Very Best Of Linda Ronstadt ( I have a few of her cd's but haven't played her for awhile, Don't' Know Muc hthe duet with Aaron Neville is great Linda's voice is so pure on the high note.

Jedward - Victory

Just got home and put on:
Volbeat - The Strength/The Sound/The Songs. They are a metal band from Copenhagen and do a metal thrash version of "I Only Want To Be With You". Surprsingly it works and brings the song into this century!! Awesome band and awesome cover!!!

Andrew Gold The Essential Collection. I just bought this at Play.com a 2 cd set for only £4 and it's brilliant, I never realised he had written so many songs, neither did I make the connection to the group Wax (Bridge To Your Heart) or Linda Ronstadt.

I saw Wax, I am sure it was with The Bee Gees and they opened the show. I always liked Bridge To Your Heart but never knew they sang it.

It's ironic it takes the death of the performer to make you realise just who they were, I loved this cd from track 1.

Eman, you are not alone in liking Jedward. There is a Two page article in a magazine that came with our newspaper today.....a girl called Laura is descrbed as a new breed of celebrity fan. She has spent around £18,000 following the twins John and Edward Grimes across Europe. in fact she hired a mini bus to follow them across Europe. She has been to every one of their 150 concerts since they appeared on XFactor in 2009.

Well we have attended countless concert appearances of Al Martino Eman but they were spaced out over many years.
Whether Jedward will last the same course remains to be seen, but Laura will no doubt be there, remaining loyal and cheering them on.

Hey Lena and Harry, I think Jedward is just a passing fancy right now and like bubblegum, will lose it's flavour eventually. I just find their music fun just like One Direction.

I am a little mystified with One Direction--I keep hearing that they are "The Hottest band on the Planet"---but I have only ever heard them sing one song [apart from those on x factor, of couse]

Mariana, I think it all has to do with packaging. 5 good looking kids, so all the teenage girls (maybe even guys) would fall for them. I know they have another song or two on the radio besides WMYB.. they have "One Thing" and "It's Gotta Be You". My nieces love them and their music kinda grew on me from hearing it all the time.

Listening to The Wanted's Battleground. Much more hipper than One Direction.
