Terence posted on facebook this morning. He had such an ordeal in hospital but he is now discharged, but he has to go back to pay, they let him go as he was hungry!
He hopes to catch up with all your good will messages on here soon.

They let him go as he was hungry. don't they feed them in hospitals over there?

Anyway I hope he makes a great recovery.

If their hospital food over there is anything like the hospital food over here, I am not at all surprised he was hungry--last time I was in hospital, the only thing that kept me going was George bringing me in a yoghurt everyday !!

I am so pleased to hear that Terence is on the way to recovery.

Thank you my dear friends for all your positive thoughts and prayers. One of the first things I did when I got online was to order the new Matt Monro CD with the new Patti Page country & western CD on Sepia. A giant 8cm ulcer was cut out. It's confirmed Lymphoma caused by H Pylori but stage 1 and localized. All the lymph nodes surrounding it was cut out and tested negative. So surgeon says I don't need chemo. Ordeal in hospital was worse than imagined. When I woke up, I was trembling non-stop with a tube from my nose to my stomach, another thick stomach tube and one more was inserted into my urethra. Imagine the pain when these were pulled out. The very painful needles inserted into my hands to find suitable veins to open lines for drips and blood transfusions were unbelievable. Once a vein was inflamed, it had to be abandoned and the needle search began again. After the op, I had to learn how to get up from the bed like someone learning how to sit up for the 1st time. The pain was unbelievable when I coughed. I vomited a few times which also brought forth a new set of pains. Finally but not least, the outstretching of my hands during the 3.5 hour operation resulted in a numb left arm. I have regained some strength in my fingers but it will take at least 8 weeks for this hand to fully recover. A MRI brain scan was performed to see if I had suffered a mini stroke due to my semi-paralyzed left hand but it turned out to be pinched nerves or something like that. Consulting a neurologist marked up the price of the hospital stay but it's the hassle of coping with a weak left hand that is testing my patience. All this is behind me now and I can only THANK GOD!

Yes Karl, I have certain exercises to do. They were rather impossible to do at first but they are getting easier.

Terence, it is so good ton hear from you in person-as you can ntell, we have all been really concerned about you.

Hopefully you are now on the mend-it may take a little while, but it will be worth it in the end Marian xxx

PS--the Matt Monro cd will help-it is brilliant.
