2 WORMWOOD SCRUBS---I was actually born nest door, in The Hammersmith Hospital--or Du Cane Road Hospital as it was---and I lived for seven years just over the road from both of them--just a bridge and a railway line dividing us.

9. PARKHURST (Isle Of Wight)

Marian, we were visiting a relative in Hamersmith Hospital Three weeks ago, and a neighbours son was on remand in The Scrubs next door at the same time. If having the choice of visiting ( but thankfully we didn't ) I think it's the only time I would be happy to choose visiting a hospital. :) :)

As kids we used to play on "Wormwood Scrubs", and for anyone who does not know, this is a huge area of open land-where they had fairs--the real old fashioned type---plus barrage balloons, with people jumping out-but now I look back it was quite bizarre to think we were playing outside the prison walls, with murderers and villains inside.

10 I have forgotten the name, but there is one on Dartmoor--or maybe Exmoor--a good place for a prison, as the fog used to come down so quickly, and the day we went we were stranded for the afternoon, as the fog was so bad.

ps I think it is just called Dartmoor Proson at Princeton

!3. BROADMOOR ... actual a prison hospital, but definitely a prison. Most of all the notorious murderers end up there.

It is situated in the village Peter lived for many years. They used to sound the escape siren every morning at 10a.m. to test it. I always said that would be a good time to escape!

Don't know if we've had castles...if not
