I also thought of Sir Stanley Mathews-plus Bobby Robson, Bobby Charlton, Bobby Moore, -across the channel==David Ginola, Eric Cantona, Thierry Henri-----I am guessing from Robert's question though, that he means players who are still playing today, from any country---could still be any 2 of at least 20--but not Lionel Messi---I have heard of lots of players, but never heard that name.

Lionel Messi is a young Argentinian player, currently playing for Barcelona. His record of awards and goalscoring already rates him as one of the best young players, and has been compared by some as having Maradona's talent and skills,... maybe he has but without the cheating we hope.  :)

Well judging by the current forum members and a fairly recent discussion of Messi's performance and outstanding skills on a particular Barcelona game -some of them on Keiths postings........... I think you could be Marian. :D :D :D but who knows he is young and he may be a flash in the pan, except for a booster like when those £ signs come up in front of his eyes.

Robert--thank you for the links--I just guessed from the name that he could be Scottish.

In "Stricly" this year, there are 2 members from 2 different well-known groups--who are they and what are the groups.

Well done Harry & Lena-both correct.

I am really looking forward to this series---because I recognise them all, except maybe 2.

We are looking forward to it too Marian. I was at first thinking like Chris Evans of Kimberley Walsh and Denise Van Outen's previous stage dancing, but a former Strictly competitor said on TV the other day that any one who has had previous stage or musical experience doesn't have any advantage over the other contestants whatsoever because learning steps with a professional dancer in Strictly right from scratch is a totally different ball game.
Apparently Anton wasn't very pleased at first to be partnered with Jerry Hall.
Perhaps he was hoping for Lisa Riley :D

I thought that Jerry Hall was a bit too tall for Anton--plus for some reason she reminds me a little of Nancy Dell Ollio--not in looks , but in her attitude--and heaven knows, poor Anton suffered with Nancy.
