JJ at The Moon River Theatre, Branson.

Review...
"Sometime Tuesday or Wednesday (Sept 25/26), Andy Williams died. Wednesday evening, Jack Jones was performing at Williams' Moon River Theater in Branson, MO. The two crooners had originally planned to perform together. I must say, of all Jack's concerts I've seen, this was the best. He did his basic show (the one you might have seen at Feinstein's in New York), but there were added clips from his appearances with Williams shown on a screen (as well as Jack's regular video retrospective at the end), and Jack had some well-chosen words of tribute to his contemporary in a show sung in Williams' honor. The show was never heavy, but had the right touch of bittersweet mingled with light moments and a whole lot of love. The tone was ideal, and Jack was in superlative voice. Even Kim Crosby, that wonderfully talented musical actress who played with Jack in the unforgettable "Guys and Dolls" show from Vegas in the '90s, was there in the audience. There was a family vibe throughout, and I think every one in the audience felt like personal friends of Jack, Andy and each other. The opening act was Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, who also hit the right warm notes. Thanks Jack, thanks Andy (God bless you!), and thanks to everyone involved for a wonderfully moving and musically magnificent experience."

That's a really nice complimentary review on Jack's performance Marian and nice to know that one of his contempories was there to perform at this particular time of Andy's passing. After all there are few left from that era of decent singers. :)

I think it must have been a fitting tribute to Andy, even though they were sad missing him.

Wow that sounds like a good show. Although I'm not too much of a JJ fan I do like some of his stuff. I'd have love to seen Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr.
