Hi Seamus

I'm not a fan of her myself but I see Enya has a new album out, which I think I saw in HMV yesterday, though I guess you already knew that.

ENYA.

Post by SEAMUS » Tue Nov 11, 2008 4:30 pm

Hi Jon

"AND WINTER CAME",Enyas new cd,just ordered it from Amazon,my Wife Babs is buying it for me,an early xmas gift.
I Love Enya and find her music and voice very therapeutic, just like so much of Matts, and a few more that share these gifts.

Thanks anyway Jon,
Seamus.[/b]

Hi Seamus

I see you like photography too! Have you entered the digital era yet?

I'm just in the process of setting up an online photoalbum, I'll let you know when I have the details and you can see what you think!

Kind regards
Michael

PHOTOGRAPHY

Post by SEAMUS » Tue Nov 11, 2008 5:44 pm

Hi Michael,

While i like photography,im not or nowhere skilled in this field,I have an olympus camera, fairly basic, not digital, but ive recently learned how to put my photos on my pc,from camera and mobile,a massive step for me.

I appreciate nice photo art, landscape and nature, also sunsets.im a member of the Nationa Trust, and walk for miles over the sussex downs, and always have my camera with me.Fantastic photos are always possible here, along the coast by Beachy Head, all the way down to Eastbourne.I also love the Sea,and swim a lot at Seaford in the Summer.

I can see your a talented guy,i viewed your photos of your dogs recently on here, brilliant, hope you dont mind, but i was reading tru various posts and trying to work out my way around this terrific site.

Getting there ,but still struggling in some areas,Michael, can you advise me, is it possible to put a photo in with a posting?like an attachment to an Email i guess.

keep smiling.
Seamus.

HI Seamus-I am aswering on Mike's behalf--yes it is possible to do a photo with a post, although I have not done it myself---Terence, our fellow member from Malaysia , has done it several times, and when I asked him how, he said he used "Photobucket"--I went on to "Photobucket" but still have not put on photos on.

I think Terence's posts with photos are in the "Favourite Artists" section--probably under the Shirley Basset, and Johnny Mathis threads. They look good !!

Hi Seamus, you certainly have given us both a good laugh, so thank you for that, and wasn't it the Dubliners who recorded... Your Drunk Your Drunk, you silly old fool, something like that with comical lyrics.
After reading of your interests hobby's and pastimes Seamus, and your getting in to the ways of computing, etc, why do you keep putting yoursrlf down. You are doing pretty good, and as you've seen there will always be help from someone on the forum here.
We are both far from computor literate and have a lot to learn too.
Nice to hear of your walks around the Sussex coast Seamus.
Good Old Sussex By The Sea. My Mother was born in Eastbourne and we have had many walks along Beachy Head.
As for Tinnitus Seamus, :x :x there are suggestions by the 100s as a cure, not one of them work. :x take it from me, i've tried most of them.
Thank you again for the song, Seamus, and keep posting

Hi Folks
Lena and Harry, , so glad you enjoyed the Sick Note. There are so many fun songs around that i will check tru my Irish Song books and fire a few more your way.

Drunk song you refer to is called "Seven Drunkin Nights" Its also very funny, but their are hundreds of fun songs like this in Ireland,i was raised with them as a youngster, back in the 60s.

If you want another good laugh, check out a song called,"The 200 year old Alcoholic".Its on a cd called" The Makem&Clancy concert". It might be possible to see or hear it on Youtube. If not , i will gladly type the words out for you.It sure is funny.Tommy Makem & Liam Clancy were part of the original Clancy Brothers ,and continued as a duet for many years.Im sure you will have heard of them.

Lena ,last year i went for hearing tests at my local Hosp, and while i have good hearing, they were able to tell me the tinnitus in one ear, is a possible result of being a lifetime sea swimmer. They tried to explain that something builds up inside the ear,(medical name i cant remember)but i came out of the Hosp with the impression it had a coral connection.

Anyhow, they did offer to have me in for a small operation,an incision behind the ear,but i declined ,as they said their were no guarentees it would work. Also i feel my little problem is not as urgent as many more folks, and like i said, sort of got used to it now.Your right about their being no cures,i checked out loads of sites on the subject, and they appear to be all scams of one sort or the other.Even in the USA.

Lena,ta for your advice, but i guess im very sensitive, and do get angry at myself when i none up,right now im a nervous wreck checking my capitals, commas, and spelling, etc, and even frustrated after following instructions but it fails for me.

Going now to repair the dinner, sorry, i mean prepare, for me hard working missus, bless her!

Take care folks , keep the heart up.

Seamus.

Robert, beleive me ,,,,,,,,,,im doin me best, thanks anyway.

Seamus--do not worry too much about your commas, spelling etc--you got the biggest problem sorted out, which was writing in capitals!

As for the rest--well, we all slip up occasionally on grammar and spelling--
we're all only human. !

Hi Mariana
Thank you for your comment, and encouragment. It is appreciated all the help and pointers im receiving here.

Last night i tried to access the Scrapbook, without success, followed the instructions ,hit the Members button, and nothing happened.Guess im still doing something wrong, and any advice here would be welcome.

Can you advise me the correct sections to place jokes, song lyrics, and funny incidents,or is ok to put such stuff on the Lounge forum?
Still trying to get my head round copy and paste, but hopefully will crack it soon.

Thanks again Mariana .
Keep smiling.
Seamus.

Hi Seamus, regarding the Scrapbook, you should be able to just press the members lounge link and scroll down to the scrapbook and click on that and it should bring you there. There are lots of photos, memorabilia and photos of the fan club meets.

Hi John ,Thanks ,but i tried what you said, but still no joy. Followed all the instructions Michelle provided in the MEMBERS LOUNGE, but still no luck.

Perhaps im still doing something wrong, but i sent an Email to Murph, to seek his help, and also to see if he got my Email i sent him a few days ago with a snap of myself and niece, to be placed on this site.

Hopefully i will get there in the end. No surrender!

MY LOVELY NIECE MEGAN AND I.

Post by SEAMUS » Thu Nov 13, 2008 4:00 pm

Hi Folks, Murph has kindly put my photo in the website Home, "For Your Eyes Only".
This photo was taken in Scotland back in august, with my Niece Megan. I actually requested Murph to place it in the box next to where we post, but perhaps i did not write it correctly!

Will get there in the end no doubt. While in that area i enjoyed viewing all the other photos, just brilliant, with loads good looking members, and fab pets. Impressed also with the brave Marian hugging that big snake!

Bye for now ,keep smiling.
