I think Cherie is the best dancer---but whether she has previous dance experience-???--it certainly looks as though she could have, but it has not been mentioned again.

Cherie is really amazing, and it will be interesting to see how she continues to shape up in dances other than slower dances like the waltz and foxtrot.
Tom Chambers and Austin Healey seem comfortable with them all.

Cherie seems to be struggling more now, maybe her stamina isn't quite as good as the younger dancers. Well, John's still there!!
Andrew went last night, after the dance off with Heather. I feel sorry for Heather being in the dance off 3 times

Poor Andrew tried hard, and his head banging will live with him forever. He may as well have been banging it against a brick wall where dancing's concerned.
Heather is improving well. Hasn't she got a lovely partner. ?
John is still being kept in by the public, but the competition is really on now and as Len said this isn't ...Help The Aged

I have seen Heather's partner Brian, dancing on the US version of "Strictly" called "Dancing with the Stars" which is actually on at the moment--ITV 2 I think--getting near to its conclusion.

Brian does seem a nice guy---he is very similar to another young dancer on "Dancing with the Stars" called Derek---their style of dancing is very similar---it is hard to explain, but they seem to dance differently to our dancers--not better, or worse--just different.

I think i know what you mean Marian. Brian seems to move as though he's been wound up with a key and suddenly let go and the legs and backside have an action that move so fast I wonder how he manages to just abruptly stop

Well John marches on........
but even if he had been voted off this week, someone would still have had to go next week, so we could easily have had tonight's scenario then.
Let's face it, eventually they all have to go, except the winner.

That's what John Sergeant said this evening Marian, and Cheri's partner James said that his wife is hoping that John will be in the final
The judges had undoubtedly held a serious meeting before Saturday's show after realizing that their comments about John's performances had done exactly the opposite to what they were expecting and hoping for. After John and Christina's dance, In grovelling desperation they each gave some words of praise (including Craig )... very well practised too I thought.
At least this series has been different

Sorry to change the subject slightly, but I enjoyed Tom Jones' performance of his new single on Sunday night!

I do not know why there is all this controversy over John-it has happened before--who remembers Chris Parker --in series 1--just a young guy--but a horrendous dancer--actually got to the final--Fiona Phillips, Kate Garraway, Julian Clary--John is not the first--nor will he be the last--unless the rules change--but they can hardly change in midstream.
John is dancing to his capabilities---it is obvious that he is never going to dance like Austin or Tom. But it is not his fault that he keeps getting voted back in. There is no way he should retire from the show-he has done nothing wrong--he was invited to take part-and does what is asked of him.

Don't get me wrong-I do not think Cherie should have been voted out--just like last year, I do not think Gabby Logan should have left before Kenny Logan---but it happens--and it keeps the viewers hooked.

By the way--I also loved Tom Jones new single--I have heard it before--it is a great song.

But is it my imagination, or does Tom Jones look a little strange these days--has he had plastic surgery--or botox--his face is not the same--I know he is older--but it seems more than that.

Yes, I think Tom Jones has had quite a lot done to his face Marian.
I'm not a fan of his but I quite liked this new song.
I've been thinking over Michele's question about maybe including another singer's medley in Matt Jnr's show, maybe Tom Jones would be a possibility.
He could also practice a hip wiggle and some dance moves at the same time. Or maybe An Elvis medley would be better.

I think either of those suggestions would make a good medley for Matt Jnr.
