I remember it---was that the one that Christopher Beeny was in, in his first role, as a young boy ??

I remember The Appleyards but not much about it. I guess The Grove Family must have been an early one too. Christopher Beeny was the son in that one.
Must put my thinking cap on for a question now.

Yes it was Christopher Beeny. He also played a part later in Upstairs Downstairs. :)

Of course--The Grove Family---I would love to see a couple of episodes now--they would seem awfully tame compared to the things we see on our soaps these days--they seem to cover every subject these days to get a new storyline !

No sorry Marian, it wasn't Bernard Levin. Have another go, or someone else may want to.
Some years ago now, the late Bernard Levin called to me from over the other side of the road in Maida Vale to wish me Good Morning :) Wasn't that nice.

I'm afraid I had to look it up....
KENNETH TYNAN in 1965 Lena. I was very naive, and only heard it first several years later. I wouldn't have even known it was a swear word in those days!

You are correct of course Marian. It was Kenneth Tylan. As far as the F word, I cant say I was that naive, specially as a child it was hard to escape, being among adults living through the Blitz when those doodlebugs came over.
