I just heard Frank Sinatra sing "Once upon a time"-I just love that song--but have never heard Frank sing it--really lovely.

There are many songs with that title Marian, I will have to check my Sinatra records to see which one you mean.
Meanwhile I am listening to Pat Boone's Greatest Hits & More Greatest Hits.

Once Upon A Time is a lovely song and so many have recorded it.
Al Martino, Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin, to name just a few, and as much as I like Sinatra's magical New York New York this to me is the kind of song that typifies the real dreamy style of Sinatra, the voice that made us swoon, and still does I have to say :D :D

I only know the one song called "Once upon a time"--I have just downloaded it from Amaszon.

There's a lot of very early Sinatra material I like when he was on Columbia. I remember buying an LP many years ago in Boston and he sang part of this song in Polish I think it's from a film where he played a priest - the song is called Ever Homeward.

Once Upon A Time track on Frank's Reprise Album "September Of My Years" first released 1965 with arranger and conducter Gordon Jenkins. Doesn't get any better than this.
Perry Como recorded it too. :)

L&H I have most of Frank's Rrprise cd's and many of his Capitol albums but this box set has every track he recorded for Reprise, it's a beatuiful set in a linen finish box with the discs housed in two little books - it also has a book full of information.

I also have a Capitol box set and a newer one with live recordings and dvd's.

I will check out that album--I find that Frank Sinatras voice varies at times.
