Just been for my dental check up, I had a chat with the receptionist and I was tellignher I am going to see Alfie Boe in March -you've guessed it she's never heard of him. I could understand it she was very young - she's not!!!!

What do some people do with their lives, there are advertisments for such items in newspapers, magazines train stations etc: Even if you're not interested you do notice things!

Yes a friend told me about him, so I checked him out and loved him. I wish he would tour here so I could see him live. Funny thing is I found a DVD of his concert here, so he must be known in the US somewhere.

Eamon he's not long back from your part of the world and I agree with Marian's comments.

You even pick up things by talking to people, maybe she rarely talks to anyone - who knows?

Next time I must ask her if she knows who Matt Monro is!!!!

Our former son-in-law came from Sri Lanka and he didn't know who the Beatles were, or Elvis Presley. He'd never heard of them.

Marian isn't it amazing that names as big as Elvis & The Beatles were unknown in Sri Lanka, we always assumes that everyone has heard of them!

Sri Lanks was a place I wanted to visit some years ago but trouble broke out so I changed my mind.
