"Take It to The Limit", "In the Long Run", "Hotel California"....What Great Guitar Licks from Joe Walsh & Glenn Frey!!
Here's a Tough One....Q. What Country is the 6th Smallest Country (at 180 Sq. Miles) in Europe located 1 Km up in the Pyrenees??

Re: Questions and Answers Game (A General Knowlegde quiz)

Ha, Ha Robert !!!!
I have a question that was in my quiz on Saturday night, and I am sure they gave the wrong answer--so what do you think--
What was the name of the barge that the Queen and Prince Philip were on , at the Jubilee day celebrations , on the Thames.

A. .SPIRIT OF CHARTWELL

Re: Questions and Answers Game (A General Knowlegde quiz)
Exactly !! They said it was "Gloriana"--but I knew it wasn't. I think that was the one that had the bells on.
I know it is not my turn, but I did another quiz 2 weeks ago---and again, I am sure he was wrong---this is the question---
What is the middle day of a year ? [not a Leap Year]
The whole trouble is, they say that even if they are wrong-they are right--but it is a bit steep, when you lose out on 1st place because you got the answer right !!!!

The Gloriana was a rowing barge which was a gift to the queen for her Jubilee and some members of the Royal family were on board but not The Queen and the Duke and nearer family relatives.
As far as the middle day, how do you divide 181 days up until June and 184 up tp December to make an exact middle day.
My humble calculation works out that it can only be the 2nd and 3rd of July
unless of course i'm totally wrong.

You are on the right track Harry and Lena--it is not to do with months, but days--you are almost there actually.

Re: Questions and Answers Game (A General Knowlegde quiz)
Another thought Marian
starting from 12 midnight am on the 2nd July till 12.pm the following midnight it would still be the 2nd of July. On the same principal at midnight the 3rd of July would end the following midnight on the 4th. ...Know what I mean.
So it has to be the 2nd July.

So it has to be the 2nd July.

Re: Questions and Answers Game (A General Knowlegde quiz)
Yes, you have the correct answer--the quizmaster had july 3rd.
Well done H & L.
